# Sound Lab

Open the site root for the index. Each of the 24 experiments has its own page and exact build prompt. The two tabs are Listen and Prompt.

The complete soundscape combines City, Forest and Water recordings with scheduled events, modulated synthesis and a musical layer. Experiments 19, 20 and 21 offer different interfaces over the same audio engine.

## Local server

Codex's browser blocks file:// URLs and accepts HTTP or HTTPS. The apps also use JavaScript modules and local audio decoding. The included server serves only this folder on 127.0.0.1:4191. It uses Python's standard library.

If it stops, ask Codex: "Start output/sound-experiments/server.py and open the Sound Lab index." No terminal work is needed from you.

## Files

- assets/audio contains the 69 selected recordings.
- apps contains the live examples, prompts and build history.
- attempts/001 inside each app preserves its first complete implementation.
- mono.css applies the shared black-and-white interface. Charts keep their original geometry, data, axes and interactions.
- REPORT.html lists results and limits.
- qa contains test evidence. Signal tools appear only when an app URL includes ?qa=1.

The current interface includes the later copy and visual revisions. Initial prompts and archived attempts remain unchanged. No Pocock skills were invoked for the builds.

Scenes and stored recordings depend on the browser and address. Return to the same site address to access saved scenes. Localhost scenes do not transfer to the public site. Clearing site data can remove them. The console has a separate scene library; the other complete interfaces share the original scene library.

The slide deck was not edited.
