Use a two-dimensional atmosphere map: horizontal is calm to restless, vertical is close to spacious. Moving a point changes several relevant generated-sound parameters smoothly. Show what is changing. Keep direct source levels, event timing, import, scenes and timer available in a details panel. Include keyboard access to the map. The question is whether I can compose an atmosphere through one expressive gesture without losing control.
