Repeat the same sound two ways. Listen for the moment the end meets the beginning.
A real recording. Its join may already be smooth.

A hard join may click, jump in tone, or feel abrupt. B mixes the end with the beginning over the chosen time.
The generated sound has a deliberately poor join. If the rain already loops smoothly, A and B may sound very similar.
Both versions use the same source and matched average levels. Overlap makes B's cycle shorter. A/B changes keep the next seam at the same distance.
